About GTA Nerd & Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

GTA Nerd is an independent fan-run gaming publication focused on Grand Theft Auto news, GTA 6 updates, franchise history, guides, analysis, and community discussion.

Our goal is simple: help fans understand what is confirmed, what is being analyzed, and what is still only speculation without fake hype, leaked media, or clickbait confusion.

GTA Nerd is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, authorized by, or officially connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., or any of their subsidiaries, partners, representatives, employees, or official channels.

What we cover

GTA Nerd primarily focuses on GTA 6, including release updates, trailers, official announcements, characters, map information, platform news, gameplay expectations, pre-launch analysis, and post-launch guides.

We also cover earlier Grand Theft Auto games, including GTA V, GTA IV, GTA: San Andreas, GTA: Vice City, and GTA III, when they help explain franchise history, gameplay evolution, design patterns, fan interest, or connections to future GTA coverage.

Our editorial standards

We aim to make GTA Nerd useful, readable, and trustworthy for fans. We separate information into clear editorial categories:

Confirmed means the information comes from Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, official trailers, official websites, investor communications, platform pages, press releases, or another reliable public source.

Analysis means we are interpreting publicly available material, such as official trailers, screenshots, announcements, interviews, franchise history, or public business information.

Speculation means a reasonable prediction or fan discussion based on available context, but not confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.

Rumor Watch means a claim is circulating publicly, but should not be treated as fact. We do not present rumors as confirmed information.

Where possible, we aim to link or refer to the original source behind important claims.

No-leaks policy

GTA Nerd does not host, publish, embed, promote, or distribute leaked pre-release footage, stolen game files, datamined assets, pirated material, unauthorized unreleased gameplay, or confidential material obtained without permission.

If we discuss a widely reported leak-related topic, we do so only to provide context, correct misinformation, or explain why the claim should be treated carefully. We do not reproduce the leaked material itself.

Corrections and updates

Gaming news changes quickly, especially before a major release. We try to keep important GTA 6 pages updated when new confirmed information becomes available.

If we make a meaningful update to a major guide or living page, we may update the “Last updated” date or add an editorial note.

If you find an error, outdated statement, broken link, or unclear claim, please contact us through our Contact page. We aim to correct verified factual errors as quickly as reasonably possible.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure

GTA Nerd may display advertising, use affiliate links, or publish sponsored placements now or in the future.

If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, GTA Nerd may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not control our editorial opinions, analysis, rankings, or recommendations.

When affiliate links, sponsored placements, or advertising appear in a way that could affect reader decisions, we aim to disclose that clearly and reasonably close to the relevant content.

Community and user tips

GTA Nerd may allow comments, user tips, polls, forums, Discord submissions, or other community features now or in the future.

Community submissions do not guarantee publication. We may review, edit, reject, remove, or moderate submissions at our discretion, especially if they include leaks, spam, copyrighted material, abuse, misinformation, malware, or content that violates our policies.
